Thomas,

If your previous auto loan was included in the bankruptcy, the debt would have been discharged when the bankruptcy was completed. If you're still paying on it that means you reaffirmed the loan during the bankruptcy. None of the lenders our dealers work with do third party loans - they only make loans on vehicles in dealer inventories.

What you can do is check with the lender to see if they report to any of the credit bureaus, since you may be looking at a credit report from just one bureau. If the lender doesn't report payments to any of the bureaus, request a payment history statement from the lender and keep it as a record of your payments. That way, when you apply for your next loan, you'll have proof of a past car payment history.

My previous Auto Loan was included in my Chapter 7 BK, I still own the vehicle and make payments on it to the lender. However my payment history is not showing on my credit report. My question is can I purchase my vehicle using your loan to do it? My goal is to make payments to a company that will report it to the credit bureaus.
