What type of identification will you need for a bad credit auto loan?

Here at Auto Credit Express, one of the things that we’ve noticed that often gets overlooked is the type of identification you will need to take delivery of a car…

A Valid Driver’s License

When you take delivery of a new or used car, you will need to present a valid driver’s license as proof of identification. The license needs to list your current residence (as stated on your credit application) and needs to be issued from the state for which you claim residence. The license also needs to be current (that is, it cannot be expired).

What Next?

The salesman will then make a copy of the license for the deal folder and then, depending upon the state, may then electronically verify the license with the state department of motor vehicles.

The Bottom Line

When you take delivery of your new car, whether through conventional or sub prime financing, make sure you bring a current, valid driver’s license with you. If you don’t, you will be unable to take possession of your new car. Here at Auto Credit Express, we want you “on the road” as smoothly as possible!
