Nissan Delivers Zero Percent Financing
by Steve Cypher on Friday, November 7th, 2008Joining Toyota on the zero percent bandwagon, this week Nissan launched a national program that includes 36 month financing on its most affordable and fuel-efficient vehicles.
Program Highlights Include Leases
Here at Auto Credit Express, we’re well aware of the current economic climate. We also like to take the “glass half full” approach to the automobile market. So when a survey states that 60% of consumers don’t plan on buying a new car within the next 12 months, the half full approach means that 40% of consumers are planning on buying one.
So for those of you out there that are in the market, there are some pretty amazing deals to be had – and not just on crossovers and SUVs, but on many fuel-sipping models, as well. This is especially true of the new program that Nissan North America rolled out this week.
“Nissan Delivers” Program Highlights Include Leases
According to Nissan, the new Consumer Value Program that carries the theme “Nissan Delivers” includes 0% financing for up to 36 months on five models: The Nissan Murano, Sentra, Altima, Versa and Rogue.
In addition, Nissan has put together a leasing program for both the Altima Sedan and the Rogue crossover SUV. With an initial payment of about $2,800, you can lease either one for $199 per month, plus tax.
Both offers are for qualified buyers and both programs end November 30th.
Value for the Dollar
According to Brian Carolin, Nissan senior VP of sales and marketing, “We know that many consumers have done their research, have made the decision to buy a new vehicle, but are concerned about financing and finding the best value. We want to let them know that if they need a dependable, high-quality, high-value new car, Nissan can help them out right now – with great leases and great financing options.”

What is the required fico score that you look at for a used nissan altima. I have my eyes on a 2006 to 2007-8 vehicle. My credit scores are in the high 500’s and how much with bad credit is usually needed to put down on a vehicle.. also.. what do you look at on the credit reports when deciding..
Thanks
Tisha,
We are not a lender, but the required FICO score differs with each lender. A high 500 is usually classified as a higher risk than was acceptable, say, three months ago. As far as the down payment, you should get together as much as you can. In the case of the credit report, lenders look at a “vehicle-weighted” score that places more emphasis on how you’ve paid on your car loans than a regular credit score.
