Toyota Offers College Grads a New Kind of Spring Break
by Steve Cypher on Friday, May 8th, 2009Toyota offers its largest college program rebates ever on nine different models.
New college rebate program
Here at Auto Credit Express we see where Toyota recently unveiled its most aggressive college rebate program, ever. The company will offer a $1,000 rebate on new Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Camry (excludes Camry hybrid), Tacoma and Yaris vehicles as well as any new Scion model (xD, xB or tC).
The program, which is offered by Toyota Financial Services (TFS) through Toyota Motor Sales, gives qualified college graduates the opportunity to use the rebate toward the purchase or lease of one of the nine models covered under the incentive. Those qualifying for the program are also eligible for Toyota’s College Graduate Finance Program (which is applicable for all new Toyota/Lexus/Scion models) and also offers a competitive APR/lease and other special incentives that include:
• No money down when financing and no monthly payments for the first 90 days when leasing
• Security deposit waiver for lease
• Complimentary roadside assistance for one year
In order to qualify for the program, students must meet all of these conditions:
• Have graduated from an accredited four-year college, university, or registered nursing degree program during the last two years or graduate from such a school/program within the next six months, or
• Have graduated from an accredited two-year college during the last two years, or
• Be enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program or have received a degree from an accredited graduate program during the last two years, or
• Have graduated during the last two years from the two-year Toyota Technical Education Network (T-TEN) Program or any other two-year post secondary automotive program accredited by the NATEF, or Have completed an electrician apprenticeship/cert. program during the last two years through NJATC and IBEW.
• Show proof of present employment, or future employment with a start date within 120 days of your purchase contract date. TFS must deem your salary sufficient to cover living expenses and vehicle payments.
• Minor credit lapses allowed! Obligations paid within 60 days or less of the due date and non-credit related (e.g., rent, utilities, health club membership, etc.) charge-offs less than $250 are acceptable.
• On approved credit through participating Toyota dealers and Toyota Financial Services. Not all applicants will qualify. Terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
Toyota’s latest college program runs through March 31st, 2010 for Toyota badged vehicles and through September 30th, 2009 for all Scion branded cars.
The Bottom Line
Toyota’s latest program, while not as aggressive as most of the domestic brands, is certainly a decent deal on some pretty nice cars.
