GM New Car Incentives Help Bad Credit Car Loan Buyers
by Steve Cypher on Monday, January 11th, 2010The Detroit Auto Show begins and Chevrolet unveils the Aveo show car and the new Cruze while GM makes many of its small cars more affordable by adding incentives to the current Aveo and Cobalt
Helping bad credit customers
At Auto Credit Express we’ve spent close to 20 years focusing on consumers with bad credit and helping these same customers raise their FICO scores and reestablish their car credit by financing a vehicle with a bad credit auto loan. Along the way, we try to educate our applicants on the loan process, since these very same consumers can find themselves trapped in a loan they can’t afford if they’re not careful.
This week, the Detroit Auto Show reminds us, even as Chevrolet unveils the Aveo Show Car and the new Cruze compact car, that although financial considerations usually dictate that a majority of vehicles purchased with these types of loans are used cars, there are a number of affordable new cars that also qualify for many of these bad credit car loan programs and General Motors is among the manufacturers who sell new cars that fit the bill in two important respects: many of them are priced right and they come with a comprehensive new car warranty.
Chevrolet new car incentives
Two of the most affordable vehicles that GM builds are the subcompact Chevrolet Aveo and the compact Chevrolet Cobalt. Both cars come with General Motors 36 month 36,000 mile comprehensive warranty plus the company’s 5-year 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that covers the engine, transmission, transfer case and axle assembly on light duty vehicles.
During the month of January, all new 2009 Aveo and Aveo5 models are eligible for $1,500 in dealer cash, no matter what the customer’s credit score is. Considering the Aveo’s sub-$12,000 starting price, this makes the gas-sipper even more of a bargain.
The 2009 Cobalt qualifies for $3,000 in customer cash, while buyers of the 2010 Cobalt Coupe XFE, the high-mileage model with a base price of $15,710, are eligible for $2,000 in customer cash. Again, these deals are not dependent on a customer’s FICO score.
As we see it
At Auto Credit Express, we feel it’s important that you make the right choices when it comes to a bad credit car loan buying decision. Those choices include finding the right dealer and the right car to help you reestablish your auto credit. Any one of the above models, with their customer cash, will make a bad credit car loan more affordable, while keeping interest costs down.
