Car enthusiasts are gearing up for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next week. This annual show is all about showcasing new vehicles and concepts for that year. Auto-lovers old and young gather at the Detroit Auto Show to enjoy a first-hand look at these dazzling glimpses of the future of the auto industry.

It's not too late to be apart of this sure to be epic event! The NAIAS website gives a generous amount of information from the floor plan of to specific times the events will be taking place each day:

  • Press Preview: January 13-14, 2014
  • Industry Preview: January 15-16, 2014
  • Charity Preview: January 17, 2014
  • Public Show: January 18-26, 2014

The auto show's Charity Preview is an annual event that helps support children in Southeastern Michigan from birth to 18 years of age. There is also an Education Day on January 22, where children from schools all over metro Detroit have show floor access as well as different courses that may interest the students. On January 24, there will be a Family Day with different musical acts and giveaways, as well as a chance to meet with local on-air celebrities.

Additionally there is an American Red Cross blood drive that visitors can take part in. Visit the NAIAS site or www.givelife.org for specific times and locations. Finally, there will be parades held by The Parade Company, who also organize the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. These will be almost daily, but be sure to visit the event's webpage for times and locations.
