Auto Credit Express and Summit Place Kia Team Up to Fundraise for the Veterans Treatment Court

Auto Credit Express and Summit Place Kia are proud to announce their success in the 4th Annual LaLonde Charity’s Golf Outing event in efforts to support our Veterans at the Veterans Treatment Court who are battling with alcohol and substance abuse.

Color Guard

Hosted at the Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford, Michigan, the LaLonde Charities were able to have a day full of festivities for people to come and support this cause on July 20th 2014.

A Day On the Links For Charity

The day started great with 216 golfers ready to go with their golf caddies and golfing gear. After signing in, teams made their way to their assigned golf carts to await the National Anthem performed by the Color Guard before everyone hit the course.

The teams were all very diverse whether it was filled with avid golfers, beginners or people who did not have a single golfing bone in their body. Nevertheless, this was for a great cause to golf for no matter what your level of experience was or how many balls you lost in the water.

Golfers with a cause

As scheduled, the color guard started all of us off right before teams made their way towards their destinations. From 9 o’clock in the morning until 3 o’clock in the afternoon, all teams rotated around the golf course sharing their chance to show off their golf skills or lack of.

For the people who chose to step aside from golfing, there was wine tasting available with prizes and plenty of fine wine to discover. In addition to the all fundraising efforts, the traditional silent and live auction followed shortly after all the golf teams headed back and had dinner. Raffle drawings took place afterwards which had great prizes which included an electric Wheego Whip car.

How Did We Do?

With all the great efforts and contributions, the LaLonde Charities were able to fundraise over $75K for the Veterans Treatment Court which will go directly to help create more programs and opportunities for our Veterans to get back on track.

None of this would have been able to happen if it wasn’t for all the help we have received. We would like to thank every single person who gave their time, efforts, and generosity in support of our Veterans who need us. We had a blast this year and we can only hope to see you all next year for our 5th Annual LaLonde Charity.
