Remembering 9/11/01

I remember being in our office in Troy, Michigan; getting ready to head out to a dealership when I heard the news. At the time there were around 5 people in the office. We all ran to the conference room and turned on the TV. The five of us sat there speechless for a few hours, as we watched in horror. I recall being so choked up I could not speak- the others in the room were the same. Tears were on all our faces.

American Flag

Later that night I was at a crowded sports bar for dinner. As soon as President Bush came on, the whole place was silent. Even the wait staff stood still and listened to our commander in chief address the nation. He made sure each and every one of us was proud to be an American- and then we will rebuild the nation together.

Ever since the tragic day that has changed America, it has taken us years to re-establish what was left. They say that in order to move on, you have to forgive and forget. But we choose to not forget about what happened the morning of September 11, 2001. Every year we gather and take a moment to remember what happened. The idea of rebuilding for a strong nation is a core reason as to why we do what we do at Auto Credit Express. We strive to rebuild America’s credit.

Remembering Their Sacrifice

Remembering 9/11

There were many victims that day, each victim had no choice. They were there, most doing their job to earn a living so they could support their family, or contribute in some way. Everyone who died that day should be remembered equally.

But I would like to send a note of gratitude to the families of the government workers that risked their lives to save others. There can be no bigger sacrifice than giving up your life when duty calls. Their memory must live on. We should also remember that the crime was committed by cowards and was ultimately responded to by heroes.

There is an unspoken strength that happens during times of tribulations. Whenever something strikes to bring us down, it’s as if America gets back up stronger than the last time. The brave men and women who fight for our country have taken the fear from civilians and clothed it upon themselves to carry for us. That is what America is; land of the free and home of the brave. This is why we’re proud to be Americans. It is because of the strength, dignity, and innocence that the team here at Auto Credit Express will never forget the events of 9/11.
