The 2018 Residual Value Awards conducted by ALG were announced last month. Subaru came out as the top mainstream brand for the third year in a row, winning awards in five segments.
ALG is an automotive industry leader when it comes to predicting future vehicle values and depreciation rates. ALG has published residual values – a prediction of how much a car will be worth at the end of a set period of time – for all vehicles in the US for more than 50 years.
"Strong residual values are the bedrock of successful brands. A vehicle's ability to retain its value over time is an important consideration for consumers looking to purchase or lease a vehicle," said Jim Nguyen, president of ALG.
2018 Subaru Residual Value Award Winners
ALG's Residual Value Awards honor vehicles they expect to retain the highest percentage of their original price after a traditional three-year period. For 2018, Subaru was named "Top Mainstream Brand" for the sixth time, and five models came out on top of their respective segments:
