For your credit repair efforts to succeed it is important to monitor your credit during a bad credit auto loan
When you’re financing a vehicle with horrible credit auto loans it’s important that you keep track of your credit repair efforts.
We’ve seen the difference this can make in the nearly two decades we’ve been involved in bad credit auto sales here at Auto Credit Express.
In addition to offering advice on this and other bad credit car questions, we also can show why a tote the note dealer won’t improve FICO scores as well as explain the terrible credit auto loans process and many of the issues that result in repossession.
But during poor credit car loans there is something else you can do to make sure your credit scores improve.
All three credit bureaus plus sites like www.freescore360.com offer services that will monitor your credit. The cost to monitor a single bureau typically starts at around $6.95 a month while it usually runs $12.95 or more to monitor all three.
Options include services such as score monitoring, reports with scores, score watch, score power and credit watch. Equifax even offers a program where you can “protect” a family of four for $344 per year.
Set up your own
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act allows consumers to get one credit report at no charge from each of the three bureaus every 12 months. This is in addition to laws that allow people to receive reports at no charge if they are denied credit, discover errors in their reports, or if they suspect they’re a victim of identity theft.
You can also set up your own monitoring program. By ordering a report from a different bureau every four months, you can set up what is essentially a free credit monitoring service on your own.
In addition, if you find any reporting errors from one bureau such as an account that isn’t yours, you can immediately order reports from the other two under the ID theft free report system. You can also order an additional report, at any time, if you are denied credit based upon information from a specific bureau.
As we see it
It’s important to monitor your credit. If you feel that having this done for you is worth the cost, then sign up with a service like www.freescore360.com.
With a little time and effort, however, you can set up your own and save at least $100 per year.
